Throwback Thursday: Mediterranean Food!

The one thing that I love about being a foodie is that my friends love food just as much as I do. Taziki’s is one of my favorite Mediterranean food stops, but I was excited when a friend invited me out to lunch at The Olive Branch in Cahaba Heights… I opted for the Greek Salad (pictured) and decided to add shrimp. The colorful array of veggies and the perfectly-seasoned shrimp was enough to awaken the palate of any foodie.

Everything was perfect except for one thing: THE SALAD DRESSING. Whenever I’m at a restaurant, I like to try the house dressing if offered. The house vinaigrette at this particular restaurant had a very strong lemon taste; which I’m not a fan of. Thankfully their ranch dressing is AMAZING! (Trust me, all ranch dressings aren’t the same) It has a nice garlic flavor that wasn’t too strong and added the perfect balance to my meal.

  1. That salad looks delicious!!!! I am with you, lemon-y dressings are not my favorite either. Tazikis is one of our usuals in our friend group for lunch rotation too!! I can guarantee that at least twice a month we are in there 🙂 I like the Olive Branch too but it is not geographically desirable for us as a lunch option anymore since some of us have moved offices.
