It’s St. Patty’s Day! Another holiday that allows us to consume green spirits, wear fun stuff, and pinch people who don’t.
I consider myself a serial pinner (individual who pins a lot on Pinterest) and I decided that I would step out of my comfort zone and share some of the fun things I’ve pinned and actually tried. Check out my “Shamrock Shake”!

This recipe is kid-friendly and only requires 6 items, two of them are optional.
Check out the recipe below:
Prep Time: 5 minutes
1 pint (2 cups) vanilla ice cream
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon Pure Peppermint Extract (I used regular mint extract found at Target)
1/4 teaspoon McCormick Green Food Color (I used a gel food color found at Michael’s)
Whipped cream and green sprinkles (optional)
1. Place ice cream, milk, peppermint extract and green food color in blender; cover. Blend on high speed until smooth.
2. Pour into glasses. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles, if desired. Serve immediately.
Makes 3 servings.
Test Kitchen Tip: For easier measurement, 1/4 teaspoon Food Color = 20 to 25 drops.
