Feast of St. Mark – Italian Food Festival Recap!

All I have to say is there had better be some flowers in May because there have been plenty of April showers!

I really didn’t get to enjoy the festival this year as I’d wanted as black women’s hair and the rain do not mix. #GirlProbs

I was determined to spend a little time at the festival and thankfully there was food being served inside of a hall at the church.

Check out the menu and my food! (Sorry if the plating doesn’t look appetizing. Kind of hard to do at a festival…)

I love how all of the signs had the Italian translations!

My favorite dish (shown below to the left) was the Roasted Spring Vegetable Ditalini Pasta! OMG! *blows kiss like the Italians do in approval of this dish* I definitely plan to load up on this next year.

Now that I have attended this festival, I’ve learned the logistics and plan to be better prepared for the event. Next year, I will indulge in all of the food, gelato, and music, rain or shine!

This was one of my favorite pics from the festival. (Jesus is my homeboy.)

Did you get to attend this festival? What’s one of your favorite local food festivals to attend?

    1. I love Italian food! I hate that I allowed the rain to influence my early departure, because of course the sun came back out once I was home. I definitely plan to attend next year. 🙂
